The Best Dive Bars in NYC | Eater NY

"Rumor has it that Rudy’s was once the site of a speakeasy frequented by Al Capone, but the bar’s official history began in 1933, when it received one of New York’s first post-Prohibition liquor licenses. Today the Hell’s Kitchen dive is best known for Baron von Swine, the 6-foot-tall fiberglass pig out front, and for serving free hot dogs. The beer list is extensive, and inexpensive. It should come as little surprise that Anthony Bourdain was a fan." - Justin Goldman
