Nestled in Greenpoint, Pan Pan Vino Vino transforms from a cozy bakery by day, serving creative pastries and sourdoughs, to a relaxed wine bar at night, offering small plates and an inviting atmosphere for casual catch-ups or date nights.

"The Greenpoint bakery opened in March, and while its sesame seed and chocolate chunk cookie wasn’t available last week, the alternatives were wonderful: yuzu blueberry bundt cake, guava cream cheese pastries, and nutty chocolate brownies. I loved the plain croissant, too ($5). The pastry is baked just how I like — light brown and so crisp it shatters all over the sidewalk after one bite." - Eater Staff
"If you’ve ever wanted to drink a rosé described as “You’re on a veranda with your Italian lover and a 10pm dinner reservation,” check out Pan Pan Vino Vino. You won’t know the grape or any details about the bottle, because they aren’t on the menu. But the wine will indeed be “light and salty,” and highly enjoyable in this split-personality Greenpoint spot. During the day, it’s a bakery, and a nice spot for a cortado and a sticky guava and cream cheese bun, surrounded by paintings of volcanoes. At night, it's a wine bar, with $5 cicchetti: creative little bites—like country ham and habanada jelly, or mussels with preserved lemon aioli—atop house-baked baguettes. Eat some grilled shrimp with garlic butter and drink a chilled red or a “red red” while someone next to you talks about navigating their status as a third in an open relationship. This is a good spot for a low-key date night, or a catch-up, but make other plans for dinner, because they take the word “small” in small plates very seriously. "Pan Pan Vino Vino, a daytime bakery that turns into a wine bar at night, is opening Friday, March 1 at 120 Norman Avenue, at Eckford Street. It comes from the team behind nearby Greenpoint restaurant Nura, and its pastry chef Sam Short will premiere baked goods with an Eastern European spin. The wine list is led by Mackenzie Gassett, who leads Nura’s wine program, with small plates by Jackie Carnesi, Nura’s former chef, who recently left to overhaul Kellogg’s Diner." - Emma Orlow
"The team behind Nura, a Greenpoint restaurant, is opening a bakery by day, wine bar by night nearby. Called Pan Pan Vino Vino, it’s set to open this spring at 120 Norman Avenue, at Eckford Street, in the former home of macaron shop Woops! At Nura, pastry chef Sam Short has come to be known for its top-notch bread baskets. She will lead the Pan Pan Vino Vino’s bakery side, making items with an Eastern European influence. Mackenzie Gassett, who spreadheads the wine program at Nura, will handle leading the bakery’s nighttime operations, where small plates will also be available." - Emma Orlow
