"I visited the 356-room hotel at 1177 15th Street NW after its $4 million lobby renovation and found the lobby now features a glowing cocktail lounge, a grab-and-go market, and a repurposed shuttered-restaurant space that Hilton says will be used as a private events space rather than revived as a restaurant. The lobby market serves hot breakfast, salads, sandwiches, snacks, and fresh pastries alongside coffee, wine, and beer, and there’s a new executive lounge outfitted with gold accents and marble tables where guests can dine, drink, and watch TV. Management is concentrating its food-and-drink service around the hotel’s new bar offerings." - Tierney Plumb
