"Expanding into the former Sardo’s karaoke haunt in a strip-mall spot in Burbank, this outpost—owned by Dustin Lancaster with partners Matthew Dittmann, Dave Abrams, and Michael Blackman—retains a retro, casual vibe with new red booths, a quirky winding 14-seat bar with backlit bottles, brass railings, retro light fixtures, a well-placed pool table, well-worn wooden tables, and birch-tree wallpaper accents. Chef Sean Martin leads a menu that largely remains intact from the original location but adds a fried chicken sandwich, and the kitchen leans into inexpensive comfort fare like fried chicken while the bar still pours $3 Budweisers; unlike the Westlake original this spot has a full liquor license, though the atmosphere is deliberately unpretentious rather than high-end cocktail-driven. The location opens for evenings only to start (generally 5 p.m.–1 a.m., extending to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays), with plans to expand hours, including lunch, later." - Farley Elliott
