"Owners Wafa and Mounir Bahloul announced via an Instagram post on Wednesday, March 26 that they have closed their stall inside Saluhall, saying they need time off to spend with their kids as they look for a new location and “focus on taking [the eatery] to the next level.” The last day of service was Wednesday, March 19. “Being part of Saluhall has been an incredible journey,” they wrote. “While this past year has been invaluable, we knew we had to make the right decision.” A La Cocina graduate that launched in 2018, the fully halal operation became well-loved for hardy bowls and delicate pastries. It served a suite of lunch options for around $20 and downtown workers had come to rely on its marinated chicken breasts with yogurt flanked by beds of rice; Algerian spiced fries and Impossible nuggets were common sides. Ownership indicates they plan to keep selling these staples throughout the city again soon." - Paolo Bicchieri
