"Opening on Friday, December 7, the Austin Java at 5404 Manchaca Road in the Westgate neighborhood will offer its usual American menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch — think toasts, tacos, pastas, sandwiches, burgers, omelets — and will include a drive-thru. The coffee program will feature beans from Austin Java’s Dripping Springs roasting facility helmed by head roaster Matt Ralls, along with other beans and house-made sodas, while a full bar will serve classic and house cocktails plus wine and beer. Designed by Lilianne Steckel of Lilianne Steckel Interior Design, the space will have yellow and white accent walls, a white marble-topped bar, an assortment of seating from tables to banquettes to lounges, a conference-style seating section intended for co-working, and a dog-friendly patio; the Manchaca cafe also debuts Austin Java’s new branding look from Tilted Chair. The chain, open since 1995, has undergone major changes recently — it shuttered its original North Austin location in October 2017 and its Barton Springs location this summer, and has opened in Dripping Springs, the Met Center, and San Marcos — and the Manchaca hours will be 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m. to midnight Friday–Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday." - Nadia Chaudhury
