"The mochi doughnut craze finally hit Atlanta in 2021. First popularized in the U.S. in Hawaii a few years back, the doughnut features a springy texture, thanks to the combination of mochiko (glutinous rice flour) and tapioca starch, and typically resembles the shape of a baby teether ring or the pon de ring. California-based Mochinut includes flavors like ube, yuzu, Nutella, and red velvet and comes glazed, unglazed, or with toppings like Fruity Pebbles. Locations are open at Chattahoochee Food Works, in Mall Corners Shopping Center, and in Sugarloaf Parkway Shopping Center." - Lia Picard
