Restaurants To Try This Weekend in NYC: November 22 | Eater NY

"A pared-down branch of the original in the Bronx’s Belmont neighborhood has opened in Tompkins Square, bringing sandwiches, pizzas made with pita dough and Albanian turnovers called samuna into a smaller, merch-heavy space with stenciled spray-paint signage. The menu consists mainly of unusual sandwiches built on a slender demi-baguette, "pointy at both ends — so don’t stick yourself when you start eating it." Order the signature, described here as the "famous" sandwich ($13), with smoked beef prosciutto planted in gooey mozzarella sauce and sprinkled with oregano; "the taste and texture is really quite fantastic." There are chicken, tuna and artificial-meat versions of the same sandwich." - Robert Sietsema
