"The Hof is a quiet cafe nestled in the sun-dappled Goose Hollow neighborhood just to the west of Portland State University. The restaurant has sustained sleep-deprived students and downtown commuters since 2001, and its signature breakfast sando represents an incredible value for money in a neighborhood dotted with higher-end gastropubs. The base sandwich features a tender layer of scrambled egg encased in crispy cheese and swiped with a tangy Reuben sauce in an ideal filling-to-muffin ratio.
