"Further west in Beverly Hills, Series A Coffee pushes visual flair and unexpected toppings—offering a dalgona latte with honeycomb toffee, an iced Americano crowned with pink tiramisu cream, and a black sesame latte with charcoal cold foam—while continuously testing experimental menu items such as a coffee drink using the Korean soft drink Milkis and a viral green onion latte iteration. Owner Derek Rhie says he wanted to build community, so the shop is outfitted with board games and a large screen connected to a Nintendo Switch for patrons to socialize for hours, an intentional contrast to the transactional feel of some Korean cafes and Rhie’s own sushi takeout spot Roll Call; he says he’s at Series A seven days a week because he wants to create a space where people genuinely want to be." - Cathy Park
