Ricardo Zarate’s Once plans a second location in Brooklyn | Eater Vegas

"Planned to open a second Carroll Gardens location in October, Once is a Peruvian Nikkei restaurant that originally opened at the Grand Canal Shops last March and is listed on the Eater Vegas Eater 38. Ricardo Zarate, who has two restaurants in Los Angeles and plans to relocate to New York, runs the spot. The menu includes causa and arroz con pollo as well as a big eye tuna sashimi ceviche with black truffle and kizamitigers milk; arroz chaufa with snow crab, yuzu aioli, and crispy calamari; oxtail bibimbap with black mint stew, tacu tacu rice, fried egg, and plantains; and nasu pankamiso with braised eggplant, blue cheese, and kiwicha." - Susan Stapleton
