"The Cap City Tavern, the popular Golden Triangle sports bar known for its happy hour and Saturday prime rib special, could be on the move—but not until at least 2021. The Denver Post reported Thursday that the Clyfford Still museum, which is located across Bannock Street from the tavern, purchased the land on which the tavern sits in 2018 with plans to ultimately replace Cap City with museum parking and office space. However, Cap City Tavern owner Dino McTaggart told the Post that he had reached a new lease agreement with the museum to keep the tavern open until 2021, and possibly 2024. McTaggart said that when the lease does end, he will aim to move Cap City to another spot in the neighborhood." - Paul Albani-Burgio
