"Built as Long Beach-based SteelCraft’s third container-park outpost, the Bellflower site broke ground after the original Long Beach prototype—which used repurposed shipping containers in late 2016—proved popular, and is due to open in fall 2018. It functions as a compact container park that resembles a food hall but isn’t one: shops and eateries surround a shaded outdoor space meant for dining, community events, and live music on a 12,700-square-foot lot. Tenants were curated ahead of the ceremony and include operators from Los Angeles such as Ten Mile Brewing, Solid Coffee Roasters, Lakewood’s breakfast shop Cassidy’s Corner, The Standing Room’s burgers, Neal Fraser’s Fritzi Coop, newcomer Pholanthropy, and Long Beach Creamery, and the project is a partnership with Howard CDM, architect Studio One Eleven, and kitchen designer Turpin Design Group." - Mona Holmes
