"Helmed by Evan Funke — who has cooked at the Vanity Fair Oscars party and appeared on Netflix’s Chef’s Table (noodles edition) and who splits time opening and tending outposts like Mother Wolf in Miami as well as locations in Hollywood, Las Vegas, and Beverly Hills — this Venice restaurant delivers outstanding pastas and an electric atmosphere. The radicchio salad arrives in an enormous portion (enough for four even when only two are dining); sage brown butter agnolotti still carried that patented bite from the fully handmade pasta, sweet-and-savory like a mid-meal dessert course; tagliatelle alla bolognese was textbook, the noodle strands nearly translucent from being rolled so thin, with just a whiff of tomato in the hearty ragu. Best of all, the place was packed to the gills even on a Tuesday night, the back patio bursting with diners and the inside thrumming — a great, energetic display of Funke’s work." - Eater Staff
