A Tenleytown Woman Found a Live Frog in Her Cava Bowl | Eater DC

"A small frog crawled across cucumbers, tomatoes, and feta crumbles trapped under the see-through lid of a Mediterranean bowl from the Rockville-based chain; Naomi Stahl filmed the amphibian in her Tenleytown apartment, returned the bowl to the Cava on Wisconsin Avenue NW, declined a replacement, and set the frog free near her apartment. In a statement to the Post the chain said it is investigating the incident and takes ingredient handling very seriously, with COO Dan Jones saying, "We have strict steps in place to ensure everything is washed and inspected before serving our guests." - Gabe Hiatt
