"On Mira Mesa Boulevard, I found a 4,000-square-foot eatery called Little Sakana that will celebrate its official grand opening on Thursday, February 7. Open daily at 11:30 a.m., it offers an all-you-can-eat menu at lunch and dinner where diners can eat their fill of specialty sushi rolls, nigiri sushi, appetizers, rice bowls, noodles, and more. Co-owner Jenna Hu, who also runs the ICMonster dessert shops, said the first 100 guests will receive coupons for one free sushi roll, and the restaurant will roll out a regular schedule of weekly specials: a late-night happy hour every Friday from 9 p.m. to midnight (up to 30% off sushi and appetizers and up to half off select drinks) with a live DJ; up to 30% off sushi and appetizers all day on Mondays; and 20% off all udon purchases on Tuesdays. Little Sakana also serves signature cocktails and punch bowls made with soju and fruity boba pearls and offers an all-you-can-drink option on house hot sake and Japanese draft beer." - Candice Woo
