"Liberty Burger’s four DFW locations offer a family-friendly atmosphere and a crowd-pleasing menu of burgers. The classic Liberty Burger boasts an all-American combo of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. Priced between $8 and $14, the burgers get inventive here, from the Napa (arugula, green olives, roast tomatoes, red onion, gorgonzola, and a basil and garlic aioli) to the Baby Bella (a giant onion ring with queso and sautéed baby bella mushrooms). Our favorite is not a burger if beef is a disqualifier, but the Jackie O, a ground lamb patty with baby spinach, roasted tomatoes, feta, and tzatziki sauce. The fries are excellent, coming in skinny form or sweet potato. Don’t skip the decadent shakes — they’re especially satisfying when spiked with a shot of booze. Vibe check: When we say this place is family-friendly, we mean parents bring their kids here and don’t always make them behave. It’s better for a family meal or an easy-going lunch. If you want to try to make a date of it, come after 7:30 p.m. and have a plan for a second location because it closes at 9 p.m." - Courtney E. Smith
