Instead of Making Whiskey, Houston’s Newest Distillery Starts With Hand Sanitizer | Eater Houston

"A family-owned, newly permitted distillery at 970 Wakefield Drive pivoted from producing whiskey to making hand sanitizer in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, dedicating all equipment and materials to the effort. Bottles are available for pickup 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Tuesday, with pre-orders online or payment by cash/credit in person; there is a recommended donation of $10 per 750-ml bottle to cover production and distribute sanitizer to essential businesses, front-line workers, and the community. During its first full week it distributed 4,750 bottles and expected about 16,000 bottles to be ready by the following weekend; over Easter the team donated 200 liters to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.
