"Monday is the official opening day in Old Town for the second location of BomboBar, the doughnut and gelato snack shop connected to Bar Siena in the West Loop. BomboBar’s stars are hole-less Italian-style doughnuts (bombolini) and they’re often used as garnishes in Instagram-friendly desserts. The new location, 1529 N. Wells Street (former Buzz Bait Taqueria) also offers savory snacks like a double-stacked burger served in a split doughnut sprinkled with sesame seeds like the flagship sandwich from the Golden Arches. It’s even served in a Big Mac-style container. There’s also a cocktail and red and white wine on draft with customers charged by the ounce. That’s in addition to an array of beers in the coolers. Sheet pizza is also available, as are fried chicken sandwiches. There are also breakfast options as they’ll open at 8 a.m. daily." - Ashok Selvam
