"Jamie Zawinski, owner of the SoMa nightclub DNA Lounge, was outraged to find that a Yelp–GoFundMe partnership had placed a fundraising “Donate” button on his Yelp listing without his consent; when he learned of the move he emailed Eater, “What the fuck?” and later told Eater, “Fuck all of these people entirely...Really, get all the way right up in there and fuck them.” Yelp says it paused the automatic rollout after learning some businesses did not receive opt-out instructions, but Zawinski says he did receive the notification and that his objection is to the rollout without consent." - Eve Batey
