The Loma Club Changes Hands at Liberty Station | Eater San Diego

"I've learned that starting January 2020 Liberty Station’s historic golf venue will be run by a new team that includes Laura Johnson and Luke Mahoney (co-founders of You & Yours Distilling Co.), alongside creative director John Levan and Oliver Mahoney, who will oversee both the 9-hole walking course and the food-and-beverage operations. They replace local hospitality group Good Time Design, which had taken over the original Sail Ho Golf Course in 2014, renamed it The Loma Club and updated the space by remodeling the clubhouse’s bar and grill and adding a large deck and outdoor bar. The new team says it will retain the club’s current managers and employees and does not plan immediate changes to the course or clubhouse when its lease starts next month, though it does plan to eventually update the food and cocktail programs, revamp the clubhouse interior and make broader improvements to both the golf and hospitality components." - Candice Woo
