"After 73 years in Rego Park, I learned the longtime deli will be closing at the end of the month because business has declined. Owner Jay Parker — whose father Benjamin opened the deli in 1945 — says people aren’t coming in anymore and blames new bike lanes that eliminated roughly 200 parking spaces; he’s open to selling but can’t keep it running.
