"Previously located in Rice Village, this Spanish tapas restaurant gets a second life in Montrose Collective, and the scene here is vibrant. Groups can convene over sangria and sharable tapas like gambas al ajillo, garlic shrimp swimming in a buttery, seasoned sauce, its paella Valenciana, and the can’t-miss, tender Argentinian steak. The Moor-ish and Moroccan dishes on the menu, a rarity in Houston, are particularly noteworthy. Don’t leave without trying the flavor bomb that is the B’stilla, a Moroccan chicken pie with cinnamon and almonds wrapped in a crisp phyllo dough, and the braised lamb shank that’s glazed with quince, ginger, and honey. If looking for entertainment, head to Mi Luna on the weekends. It offers flamenco dancing on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to midnight and acoustic guitar performances on Saturdays and Sundays." - Marcy de Luna, Brittany Britto Garley
