"Opened in San Francisco about a year ago to fill a void for queer people excluded from male-centric bars, the owner, Jolene Linsangan, describes the first year as a “rollercoaster.” To survive lockdown she shifted to creative community-minded offerings: takeout brunch with rainbow pancakes and a Hawai‘i-themed menu from her chef, to-go cocktails sealed with a boba-style machine, and regularly streamed performances over Zoom with performers’ Venmo links.
