Sarkis Cafe to Open for Takeout in Avondale - Eater Chicago
"Evanston’s famed Sarkis Cafe is slated to debut a second location next month in Avondale as a carryout and delivery-only operation. The cafe, known for its original sandwiches, omelets, and breakfast items, will open at 3517 N. Spaulding Avenue on December 15, accepting cards unlike the cash-only Evanston location. Owner Marla Cramin plans to maintain the same recipes and service that made the Evanston location famous. Sarkis Cafe was founded in 1965 by Sarkis Tashjian, who built a passionate following over a 35-year tenure." - Naomi Waxman
