"In Somerville’s Magoun Square, Premiere on Broadway is set to open sometime in July as a large restaurant and music venue with a 400-person capacity, including a 65-seat bar. I learned that Dan Bazzinotti — an Eataly and Bisq alum — will head the kitchen and plans to feature numerous house-made pastas, a vast selection of salumi and charcuterie, and antipasti inspired by the Italian‑American family dishes he grew up with (stuffed cherry peppers, chicken liver mousse on bread, marinated artichokes). He describes the menu as “Italian‑American cuisine with a traditional approach and local flare,” and will present a Winter Hill–style carbonara made with locally sourced Irish bacon. The bar program, run by Beehive alum Martin Fernandez, will include classic Italian cocktails like the Negroni alongside many other options. The Zammuto family are behind the project, the venue will have a 60‑square‑foot stage with local bands on weekends and stand‑up comedy on weeknights, and the operation will showcase local partners such as Winter Hill Brewing Company, Cambridge Brewing Company, and Winter Hill Bakery." - Terrence Doyle
