Family-Friendly Wine Bar Sloan + Parker Is Opening in Steiner Ranch | Eater Austin

"Opening in early November in Steiner Ranch, I understand Sloan + Parker will occupy the former Kawa Asian Kitchen space at 2900 North Quinlan Park Road and operate as a family-friendly wine bar and retail shop. Owner Katie Koran — a California native, food blogger, Steiner Ranch resident (Sloan and Parker are her children’s middle names), and full-time construction worker — plans to serve unique bottles, including biodynamic and organic varieties, as well as craft beer and a limited menu of charcuterie, crudité, and small plates; she said, “My goal is to help people branch out.” Wines will also be available for retail sale alongside specialty goods like imported pastas, fig jam, and olive oils, and Koran hopes to start a wine club in 2019. The space is designed like a home with a pantry, dining room, wet bar, and a dog-friendly patio, intended as a place where people can work during the day or get to know neighbors over a glass of wine." - Erin Russell
