"Exterior signage is now up on Bermuda Road as the unrepentantly high-calorie Fat Shack prepares to bring its “late night done right” menu to southeast Las Vegas. A successful Shark Tank participant, Fat Shack secured $250,000 in backing from Mark Cuban and will take over a 1,750-square-foot corner space at the intersection of Bermuda Road and Silverado Ranch Boulevard, replacing a shuttered Burgerim and joining neighbors Sea Salt Sushi & Oyster and Marco’s Pizza. The counter-service franchise plans to operate 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily (closing at 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays), though an exact opening date hasn’t been announced. Created in 2010 by Tom Armenti and Kevin Gabauer and now in nine states, the Las Vegas spot will continue the brand’s comfort-food menu anchored by 8- or 12-inch hero roll Fat Sandwiches—overstuffed with chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, mac and cheese, bacon, and French fries—alongside offerings like The Supreme (three Angus beef patties), Buffalo wings, cheesesteaks, fried pickles, onion rings, and cheese fries, plus battered, deep-fried, powdered-sugar-covered desserts made with Oreos, Rice Krispie treats, Twinkies, chocolate chip cookies, and funnel cake bites." - Bradley Martin
