Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week: May 28 - Eater NY

"My favorite Basque cheesecake of the last year didn’t come from a Spanish restaurant: It came from Ando Patisserie, an Asian dessert shop that opened in the East Village two years ago. The owner, Nic Yang, has become known for his French desserts made with Asian flavors: There are durian parfaits, taro profiteroles, black sesame crepes, and more. He makes a great cheesecake, too. It’s called a Basque lava cheesecake, and I can see why: The filling is soft and moist, to the point that it almost oozes ($15)." - Eater Staff
