"A new Hermosa Beach pizzeria that first surfaced on Yelp’s Hot New Restaurants and Food Talk Central and delivers sourdough pizzas that "while one wouldn’t classify these sourdough pizzas as pure New York City-style, they are close enough for me." The crusts are sturdy on the ends but floppy in the center; the crumb isn’t as tender as traditional New York slices, but the complex aromas from the fermentation are more than worth the tradeoff. Toppings include dense Ezzo pepperoni and medium-sized sausage nubs over a solid layer of sauce and mozzarella; "the first few bites are stellar, and the slices keep giving as they gently cool. The balance between the intense sauce and the stringy cheese shows a mastery of pizza construction." Ordering is easy and old-school: just call and pick up. "Simply put, it’s incredible. I’ll probably put in another order for lunch today, in fact." — Matthew Kang" - Eater Staff
