Chinitas Tapas & Sushi Moves Closer to a Debut on Henderson’s Water Street | Eater Vegas

"Heavy construction nearly two years after its announcement suggests Chinitas Tapas & Sushi is back on schedule for a downtown Henderson debut. Taking over a 6,400-square-foot plot at 147 S. Water Street across from The Pass Casino and Rainbow Club & Casino, the large Water Street venue will focus on tapas and sushi, add a fusion menu, feature a full bar, include a small stage for live music, and offer an upper-level space for banquets and private events. Originally called the Familia Supper Club, the restaurant will also seek appraisal from the Nevada Gaming Control Board to add video poker to the bar top. Using the Sonrisa Grill to preview the future menu, diners were served Thai carnitas sliders, a Hawaiian and diablo sushi roll, and ahi tuna taquitos.
