"Izakaya Mita, the cozy Bucktown restaurant, will permanently close after service on Saturday, February 26, after eight years. The restaurant introduced many Chicagoans to Japanese pub culture, featuring a large sake collection and Japanese bar fare like kushiyaki, chawanmushi, and katsukarē. It quickly gained a loyal following for its friendly atmosphere and passionate chef Brian Mita, who sadly passed away after a battle with cancer." - Naomi Waxman
