"D.C. gets a zen new spot to order a parade of Cantonese dim sum and soup dumplings with the opening of Han Palace on Sunday, April 10. Rather than pushcarts, the kitchen makes dishes to order, with dim sum chef David Xie turning out steamed shrimp dumplings, roasted pork buns, and scallion pancakes alongside a variety of crepes, noodle and rice dishes and Peking duck; new menu drops include homemade soup dumplings, oyster clear noodle casserole, braised pork belly, and crispy eggplant. The menu also highlights sizzling lamb chops with ginger, scallion-and-salt-and-pepper soft-shell crab, a tofu and veggie section, desserts such as custard-filled buns and taro coconut tapioca, and an emphasis on cocktails and Japanese whiskey pours; online ordering is available for takeout and delivery. The space seats 70 inside with a 15-seat patio and is located at 2649 Connecticut Avenue NW." - Tierney Plumb
