"Tucked in Old Montreal and long overlooked, Gandhi impressed me with consistently strong service from tuxedoed wait staff and chef Monnaf Ali’s solid tandooris, biryanis and curries, earning a respectable three stars despite a few stumbles: samosas were so good they were ordered twice, but the pakoras could’ve been hotter; a don’t-miss lamb curry offers complex flavours, while the masala shrimp’s sauce overpowers the protein; the rice is worth ordering, yet the dal came off dull and the naan lacked fluffiness." - JP Karwacki
