"I noted that this beloved Henan spot, which opened in 2011 at 83-29 Broadway near Dongan Avenue, became famous for some of the city’s best wide, hand-pulled noodles and its signature “dial oil” noodles—topped with hot oil, garlic, and vinegar and offered both knife-shaved and hand-pulled; it was repeatedly named to the Michelin Bib Gourmand list and was a Times under-$25 critic’s pick. Its Elmhurst location has shuttered, owner Steven Zhou did not respond to multiple requests for comment, and a notice on the restaurant’s website says they plan to reopen in a new space this year though the new location is unknown (the building owner said he heard Zhou may open in Manhattan)." - Katie Honan
