"Opened earlier this month in the former Cafe Sunflower space on Roswell Road, this Peruvian-led restaurant from owner Joseph Rosales (Mambo’s Cafe) blends Peruvian, Cuban and Nikkei cuisines. The menu highlights a variety of ceviches and Japanese-Peruvian sushi rolls and sashimi, along with paella, Peruvian stir-fries and entrees such as churrasco steak, jalea mixta (fried seafood) and lechon asado (Cuban roast pork marinated in mojo); it also offers genuinely delicious vegan and vegetarian options and serves brunch, lunch and dinner. The bar pours margaritas, mezcal cocktails and a tequila-based Cosmopolitan made with orange liqueur, grapefruit juice and lime. With a second location planned in Buford later this year, the spot is notable in the Atlanta area for offering true Nikkei-style dishes — the Japanese-Peruvian fusion that many locals may have first encountered in Miami. It is open Monday–Thursday 11 a.m.–10 p.m., Friday–Saturday 3 p.m.–10 p.m., and Sunday noon–9 p.m., and is accessible via MARTA bus #5 (Roswell Road) and #87 (Hammond Drive)." - Beth McKibben
