"Since it opened in 2015, I’ve seen Pub & the People plan to turn its basement storage into some version of a chill, unpretentious speakeasy; the team even let Little Wild Things City Farm use the space for a few years while getting established, and although the pandemic delayed the basement bar (which was largely completed), the room served as the best office and employee lounge for staff until the Side Door concept was finally unveiled. Back upstairs, Pub & the People has recently brought back a daily happy hour and now takes reservations for its winterized patio with fire pits." - Tierney Plumb
