"A few blocks away on Prince Street near the corner of Roosevelt Avenue, at 135-02 Roosevelt Avenue I came across Tian-Jin Chinese Restaurant, which is really a Chinese charcuterie with no seating that sells meats and poultry braised in a sweet, thick soy sauce. The small chicken (about $13) is a wonder: the skin is rubbery and the flesh thoroughly infused with flavor, normally served at room temperature and ideal for a picnic. The daily selection varies but regularly includes cow tripe and pigs’ trotters, kidneys, and liver." - Robert Sietsema
