Korean barbecue opening soon Chinatown - Eater Vegas
"Promising something different to compete with the numerous, quality Korean barbecue dining options in and around Chinatown, newcomer 888 Korean BBQ is taking the cue for its concept from the lucky and auspicious numbers in its name. Scheduled to be open by the end of the year, the restaurant will move into the high profile Chinatown Plaza, across Spring Mountain Road from Magal BBQ. The 888 owners will serve a collection of eight selections for lunch and dinner, including beef, pork, and seafood and lay claim to be the first Korean restaurant in Las Vegas to serve kurobata, natural pork belly, an option more frequently found on Japanese menus, including Chinatown’s Raku and Zuma at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on the Strip. Other premium meat upgrades will include prime steak and wagyu, presented on custom-made platters created “by a carpenter in South Korea” and made from lacquer-coated oakwood.
