Laid-back, strip-mall eatery offering in-table grills for traditional Korean BBQ & cocktails.
"Korean barbecue specialists 888 in Chinatown Plaza is based on eight types of meat — beef, pork, and seafood — presented on a serving platter made entirely from lacquer-coated oak custom-made by a carpenter in South Korea. Diners can order from the all-you-can-eat or a la carte menu. It has the advantage of being one of the few Las Vegas restaurants to offer marbled Kobe meat beef — which means there is often a lengthy wait. Join the online wait list before driving over," - Janna Karel
"Brave the hours-long wait times for an exclusive AYCE Kobe beef menu at Chinatown’s signature Korean barbecue spot. A dedicated Kobe-style menu offers traditional marbled beef cuts, brisket, beef belly, and fatty rib as hibachi options. Don’t forget to order Kobe carpaccio with citrus sauce to experience this premium cut in a whole new way." - Jen Avison Smith
"Boldly promising a “one of a kind” Korean barbecue dining experience, 888 Korean BBQ has set its initial preview dates, ahead of a “grand opening” by the end of the month. The ground floor, good fortune-inspired restaurant replaces Mother’s Korean Grill right in the center of the Chinatown Plaza retail hub, across Spring Mountain Road from Magal BBQ." - Bradley Martin
"Promising something different to compete with the numerous, quality Korean barbecue dining options in and around Chinatown, newcomer 888 Korean BBQ is taking the cue for its concept from the lucky and auspicious numbers in its name. Scheduled to be open by the end of the year, the restaurant will move into the high profile Chinatown Plaza, across Spring Mountain Road from Magal BBQ. The 888 owners will serve a collection of eight selections for lunch and dinner, including beef, pork, and seafood and lay claim to be the first Korean restaurant in Las Vegas to serve kurobata, natural pork belly, an option more frequently found on Japanese menus, including Chinatown’s Raku and Zuma at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on the Strip. Other premium meat upgrades will include prime steak and wagyu, presented on custom-made platters created “by a carpenter in South Korea” and made from lacquer-coated oakwood. An exact opening date or future opening hours have yet to be announced." - Bradley Martin
