"After a late screening, this Ayesha Nurdjaja spot was still buzzing and open until 11 p.m., and an excellent spread hit the table: vegetables, silky hummus, and especially the spit-roasted chicken shawarma ($27) with warm bread, cooling red cabbage, herbs, and creamy white sauce. Paired with a glass of crisp Vermentino, it was a satisfying late-night dinner and a reminder that, at least in this corner of Greenwich Village, the city still eats late." - Stephanie Wu
