"I found the boisterous Bourbon Street original has been a tourist fixture since 1989, and its self-description as the “world’s #1 karaoke nightclub” reflects the nonstop party vibe; open seven days a week and often staying open as late as 6 a.m. on weekends, it features DJs and talented emcees to keep the action moving. The venue is now making its first expansion out of New Orleans to downtown’s Neonopolis, with new management being trained at the Bourbon Street location, hiring underway and a projected June debut. Original plans called for a second-floor, 10,407-square-foot space with a rectangular bar and table seating, and extroverts who take the stage will be able to stream their performances live from Fremont Street." - Bradley Martin
