"Set in a restored 1930s bungalow at 1209 Abbot Kinney Boulevard, I experienced Den Mother as a neighborhood-focused wellness retreat and spa offering treatments like acupuncture, ritual bathing, and Ayurvedic foot baths alongside community programming. The owners always wanted a social atmosphere — creative director Heather Tierney and co-owner Kenny Parmelee emphasize that neighborhood intent — and the city’s Al Fresco program enabled a parklet that helped the center add a plant-based restaurant arm.
