"At Beverly Hills’ newest dining option I encountered a very futuristic, space‑station–like atmosphere that aims to make the entire meal feel a little like sitting on the forward deck of the Starship Enterprise: communal tables feature glowing astrological maps, dramatic lighting is everywhere, and nearly every corner is laid over with sheetmetal. The menu offers pan‑Asian small bites — pork jia jiang, meat skewers, steamed buns with duck confit, dumplings, and room for seafood, duck, chicken, noodles, soups, and beyond — but is surprisingly straightforward rather than Vespertine‑ or Destroyer‑level experimental. I also note that Joss Bites is an obvious offshoot of sister restaurant Joss Cuisine, and it’s open now from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m." - Farley Elliott
