Downtown Goo Goo Shop Pauses For Upgrade to Immersive Willy Wonka-esque Chocolate Experience | Eater Nashville

"I learned that Downtown Nashville’s iconic Goo Goo Shop & Dessert Bar will close on Sunday, April 25 for a $2 million renovation and is expected to reopen by Labor Day as Goo Goo Chocolate Co., reimagined with the vibes of a grown-up, immersive Willy Wonka chocolate factory. When it reopens, it will offer interactive classes, a design-your-own confection station, a retail store and a full-service Chocolate Bar serving premium chocolates, wine and whiskey pairings, boozy milkshakes and a rotating selection of seasonal treats. While the shop is closed, Goo Goo Cluster will take its show on the road with pop-up events, interactive classes and a roving Candy Van around Middle Tennessee, and many Goo Goo products, Design Your Own Premium Goo Goo options, apparel and other merchandise remain available online with nationwide shipping.
