Commercial Kitchen Prep ATX Opens in North Austin | Eater Austin

"Opened in late October, I visited Prep ATX at 1300 East Anderson Lane in North Austin and found a new public-facing commercial kitchen space with communal indoor and outdoor areas for on-site dining. The Atlanta-based company (founded in 2014) launched this as its first location outside Georgia and hosts more than 50 vendors — from restaurants and bakeries to ghost kitchens, catering companies, prepared meal services, and packaged-goods brands. I noted that orders for the public vendors must be placed through each vendor’s site (with in-person ordering available at Brooklyn Breakfast Shop and Fazoli’s), and that established local operators such as the mini-chain bakery and beer garden Easy Tiger and casual restaurant Hank’s are using the space for catering; the facility is also available to members of the Central Texas natural products community Naturally Austin." - Nadia Chaudhury
