"The iconic Dayton's building at the corner of 7th Street and Nicollet Mall is being repurposed as retail, food, and office space in a careful revitalization that preserves much of the building’s historic detail (the art-deco ladies’ room remains, though it likely won't be open to the public). A recent guided video tour highlighted spectacular restorations, and the ground floor will include several food merchants operating stands while the former jewelry store is seeking a tenant for a full-service eatery.
