Fishtown’s New Brewpub Has an Opening Date - Eater Philly
"Goose Island Beer Co. out of Chicago is heading to Philly. Goose Island Brewhouse will open at 1002 Canal Street in Fishtown on March 2 in a 10,500-square-foot building that used to be a dry-ice manufacturer. About half of that space will be open to the public for drinking Goose House beers and eating pub fare like mussels, burgers, and hanger steak. The brewery has been owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev since 2011. The new brewhouse will pour Goose Island’s beers from 28 draft lines and two cask engines, along with some only-in-Philly creations from in-house brewer Tim Caron. In the kitchen at the brewhouse is executive chef Brennan Miller, most recently at Harvest Seasonal Grill, according to Philly.com. The menu is being described as “traditional brewpub food.” It’s similar to the offerings at Goose Island’s Clybourn Brewhouse in Chicago." - Rachel Vigoda
