"Opened this month on Denver’s 16th Street Mall at 1600 California Street, Giordano’s is a 44-year-old, Chicago-born pizzeria with a devout following and locations across nine states. I note it’s famous to Chicagoans for its massive, cheese- and topping-stuffed deep-dish pies with the sauce on top — the original pizza is famously described as “cheese, cheese, sauce, and more cheese” — and the brand can ship pies nationwide in two-, four-, and six-packs (some holiday packages even include Cubs memorabilia). The chain has also experimented with a Chicago-style hot dog personal pie, and the Denver location is serving from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays." - Josie Sexton
