"Named for the 1855 Bordeaux classification, this intimate wine bar above its Back Bay Newbury Street location celebrates French wine with a curated list of more than 250 bottles spanning renowned houses and small-batch producers. Aimed at inspiring a love of wine, it will host tastings, classes, and events, and also offers cocktails and beer. The food program echoes a casual French bistro approach with shareable small plates, a handful of seafood and meat dishes, and highlights such as cheeses, beef carpaccio, and sage risotto; "garnishes" include potato croquettes and fried rosemary polenta. Desserts reinforce the wine focus with items like a wine sorbet trio and pear poached in red wine syrup. The bar is now open and taking reservations." - Dana Hatic
